The German Commission on Radiological Protection (SSK) provides voluntary advice to the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN) on all matters related to protection against ionizing and non-ionizing radiation.

In accordance with its statutes, the SSK may only express opinions or provide information to third parties with the consent of the Federal Ministry, as stated in § 11, paragraph 6.

If your inquiry pertains to a publication by the SSK, we can usually assist you directly. In all other cases, with your permission, we can forward your request to individuals and institutions with the appropriate expertise.
